The American Red Cross Basic Life Support (BLS) course provides participants with the knowledge and skills they need to assess, recognize and care for patients who are experiencing respiratory arrest, cardiac arrest, airway obstruction or opioid overdose. When a patient experiences a life- threatening emergency, healthcare providers need to act swiftly and promptly. The course emphasizes providing high-quality care and integrating psychomotor skills with critical thinking and problem solving to achieve the best possible patient outcomes
Participants who successfully complete the BLS course will be issued a Basic Life Support certification that is valid for two years.

The American Red Cross CPR/AED for Professional Rescuers program trains participants with the knowledge and skills needed to: (a). Provide professional-level care for breathing and cardiac emergencies for adults, children, and infants until advanced emergency medical services (EMS) professionals take over.
The challenge course option is available to anyone with a current CPR/AED for Professional Rescuers certificate, as well as to those who do not hold a certificate. Participants who successfully complete the CPR/AED for Professional Rescuers Challenge course will be issued the following American Red Cross certificate: CPR/AED for Professional Rescuers that is valid for 2 years.

The purpose of the American Red Cross r. 24 Lifeguarding Instructor course is to train instructor candidates to teach the basic-level courses in the American Red Cross Lifeguarding program. Candidates who successfully complete the Lifeguarding Instructor course will be issued the following American Red Cross certificate: Lifeguarding Instructor, valid for 2 years.
